A beautiful dusky pink painting with subtle colour shifts (much like the sky at sunset) and wonderful details. I've named this "Sun Ray" for the rays of sun beams that are emanating from within it.
The last from my series inspired by summer skies/seas is now hanging on the wall in full view as I come into the lounge. I love the interacting transparencies in this.
Acrylic & oil on wood.
44 x 54 cm (~ 17.5 x 21.25 inches) framed in natural Obeche wood.

The "Colour Fields and Dusk" series is an exploration of colour through abstraction: the interplay of translucency and opacity; the wonderful ways colour interacts; how colour conveys meaning and influences emotions. This series was further inspired by my taking up running along the seafront at sunset in summer. .
"Sun Ray" is a signature piece in my small collection for Artists Open Houses this year (May 2025).
NOTE: As this is a signature piece for AOH 2025, this painting will be posted out to you on 28th May (when Artists Open Houses Brighton finishes). Expected UK delivery is 29/30th May (international delivery date will depend on location). However, if you need it sooner, I can certainly arrange that, so please do get in touch.
