Little abstract painting inspired by our wonderful time snorkelling in the Maldives earlier this year. We saw such gorgeous reefs that you could swim right into straight off the beach. An amazing experience that I'm sure will produce more paintings in the future.

This painting is a part of my new "Colour Fields and Dusk" series - an exploration of colour through abstraction: the interplay of translucency and opacity; the wonderful ways colour interacts; how colour conveys meaning and influences emotions.

This is a signature piece in my small collection for Artists Open Houses this year (May 2025).
