Inspired by the golden hour and the sun setting over the sea in Brighton, this painting literally "glows". From my "Colour Fields and Dusk" Series.
"Golden Hour"
There is a junction on the way down to Brighton beach from our house where, as you come on to it & look westward, you're treated to the most glorious orchestra of light on a summer's day as the sun sets. Also, you're briefly blinded if you forget and look directly that way at the wrong moment 😄.
44 x 54 cm (~ 17.5 x 21.25 inches) framed in natural Obeche wood.

The "Colour Fields and Dusk" series is an exploration of colour through abstraction: the interplay of translucency and opacity; the wonderful ways colour interacts; how colour conveys meaning and influences emotions. This series was further inspired by my taking up running along the seafront at sunset in summer. .
"Golden Hour" is a signature piece in my small collection for Artists Open Houses this year (May 2025).
NOTE: As this is a signature piece for AOH 2025, this painting will be posted out to you on 28th May (when Artists Open Houses Brighton finishes). Expected UK delivery is 29/30th May (international delivery date will depend on location). However, if you need it sooner, I can certainly arrange that, so please do get in touch.
